French-Asian bakery and cafe chain enters Twin Cities market with Richfield location

Jun 23, 2022

Tous les Jours

An international French-Asian bakery and cafe chain is opening its first store in Minnesota with plans for more. Tous les Jours – which translates to "every day" in French – recently secured a storefront within a strip mall at 6601 Nicollet Ave. S in Richfield. The 2,800- square-foot space is located next to seafood chain Million's Crab and was previously occupied by a small-format Best Buy mobile phone store. Caspian Group broker Marshall Nguyen represented the tenant, MNR Holding Inc, and Mid-America Real Estate broker Bryce Thompson represented the landlord in a lease deal executed Monday. Tous les Jours is a South Korean-based "French-Asian-inspired" bakery offering more than 300 kinds of baked goods, made fresh in-store daily. Its menu boasts an array of breads, pastries, cakes and macarons, plus sandwiches, salads, coffees, teas and smoothies. There are more than 70 Tous les Jours stores nationwide and over 1,650 stores worldwide, according to its website. The nearest store is located in the Chicago area. MNR Holding, a local Tous les Jours franchisee, plans to open three stores in Minnesota, according to Nguyen. The Bloomington-based company owns dozens of restaurant franchises across the U.S., he said. The franchisee is still awaiting final approval for Tous les Jours in Richfield, but it expects to begin buildout within the next few months and to open by the end of this year or beginning of next year. Nguyen also helped the local Million's Crab franchisee secure its Richfield location next to Tous les Jours' new spot.
